Ready to Go!

Well, almost! So much to pack, so little room. We have acquired almost everything we need to bring, but we have to see if we can fit all of it into our limited luggage (only one suitcase each max 20kg for the domestic flights within China). Most of the stuff is for Junior (diapers, formula, food, clothes, medicine - just in case, etc.) We did hear that we can buy most of this stuff within China, but who wants to spend the time looking for it all? We met up with 2 of the other couples in our travel group and compared notes about what we are bringing, our excitement and our experiences leading us all up to this point. Everyone has a different and remarkable journey that we will share with our children when they are old enough to understand. Although the adoption process and waiting time has been long, it's still hard to believe we will be parents this coming weekend!

An update on our quints. As you can see from the photo, they have grown a lot to the point where the nest is so crowded that they are either on top of one another or have to take turns in the front or back row. At least 2 flew today - earlier I saw only 3 of them in the nest, but all came back to roost at night. Perhaps it is symbolic - they are not all going to take flight until we do.
